PET BEHAVIOUR CONSULTATIONS

If you are having behavioural problems with your dog or cat, the 1-1 consultations that I offer will help identify specific issues, and offer a realistic and accessible action plan of scientific and reward-based methods. These are individually tailored for you and your pet.

How to work with me

Step one
In the first instance, contact me to discuss your pet.  I will provide you with a history form and, from there, we can book a consultation at your home.  A vet referral is required, which I can arrange.

Step two
The consultation takes place at your home, lasting approx. 2-2.5 hours. During this time I will conduct a thorough assessment of your pet's behaviour, observing his or her interactions with you, other family members and, where necessary, other animals. If appropriate, we will go out for a walk to assess behaviour in public. From here, this will allow me to create a behavioural modification programme for you to follow.

Step three
Following the first consultation I will send you a full written report within two weeks, outlining the behavioural modification programme. A copy is sent to the referring veterinary surgeon. Further support is provided when required, by phone or email at no extra charge.

Step four
Approximately three months after the initial consultation I will carry out a follow-up consultation lasting one hour, to assess progress and address any further concerns you may be having. I will book the date of the follow-up consultation with you once I have sent you my written report.

PLEASE NOTE: CONSULTATIONS TAKE PLACE DURING OFFICE HOURS ONLY - MONDAY TO THURSDAY.

I can offer consultations outside of these times in exceptional circumstances only.
